Registration of new cars in the EU
in October 2023

In October 2023, 855,484 new passenger cars were registered in the European Union, a 14.6% increase on the previous year's result.

In the ten months of 2023, new car registrations in the EU were 16.7% higher, reaching almost nine million units. With the exception of Hungary, all EU markets recorded increases. 

According to ACEA data, Volkswagen Group cars were the most popular in the EU in January-October 2023, with nearly 2.3 million vehicles sold in the period, more than 20% more than a year before.
