Registrations of new passenger cars and commercial vehicles
in October 2023  

The pace of new car registrations in Poland has definitely accelerated in the last months of 2023. October is the sixth month in a row in which we have seen a year-on-year increase in new passenger car and van registrations. The main driver of the growth is the fleet market. 

October: 40,910 pieces (+ 27.8%) 

January - October: 391,228 pieces (+ 12%) 

According to CEPiK data, in October 2023 there were 40,910 passenger cars registered in Poland, i.e. an increase by 27.84% (+8,909 pieces) compared to the year before and an increase by 4.69% (+1,831 pieces) compared to September 2023.  

The cumulative result for 2023 is 391,228 passenger cars, up by 12.20% on the same period a year before (+ 42,531 units). 

Toyota keeps the title of the leader with 75,658 cars sold. 

Dynamic development of the premium segment  

It is also worth noticing the growth in sales in the premium car segment. In October 2023, 9,947 new premium cars were registered in Poland, 16.52% more than in September this year and 35% more than in October 2022. The premium segment's share of the new passenger car market was as high as 24.3% in October.
