Threats to the independent
automotive aftermarket
- a debate with Inter Cars Vice President

During the 16th Congress of the Automotive Industry and Market, a session dedicated to threats to the independent automotive aftermarket, which either have already appeared or are waiting for the industry in the near future, was held. Among others, the vice-president of Inter Cars - Krzysztof Soszyński took part in the debate.

One of the key threats discussed was the problem of access to repair data for independent garages. The lack of access to the data can upset the competitiveness on the repair market. The package of regulations popularly known as GVO, necessary legislative changes and also cyber-security were discussed.

Krzysztof Soszyński emphasised that appropriate regulations are to lead to increased competitiveness. Ultimately, it is not about the aftermarket, nor about vehicle manufacturers and authorised networks, but about the consumer, who now, having access to the digital world, has many more opportunities to choose a given garage and parts, depending on their wallet.
